Friday- Youth Motivational Speaker, Kyle A. Green~ JANUARY 31, 2014 Kyle Greene – Community activist, motivational speaker, mentor, coach; Kyle Greene has made a lasting impact on his community in a multitude of ways.
Kyle Aubrey Greene is a 32 year old Jasper, SC native who works as a system administrator for Blue Cross Cross Blue Shield, but upon meeting him, you will easily learn that this job is just a minority percentage of the “work” that he is doing on this earth. Kyle is a Jasper County High School Graduate (2000) and a Benedict College alumni, Mr. Greene earned a degree in Computer Information Science that fueled his employment with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Knowing that education, knowledge, and wisdom is key – he also holds three ComTia certifications A+, Network +, Security+, and also holds a Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship from the United States Department of Labor as a Network Support Technician. Kyle also runs a very successful basketball training academy in Blythewood, SC where he teaches kids ages 6-13 the fundamentals of basketball. Kyle recently made The Minority Eye List of Most Interesting Minorities of 2013. (http://www.theminorityeye.com)
During his visit, Mr. Green spoke to Royal Live Oaks 6th-9th grade students about their purpose in life as well as choices. "Iron sharpens iron," said Mr. Greene. "If you are the smartest person in your click then you need to look at getting new friends. If iron sharpens iron then who is sharpening you?" "Your network is your networth, so surround yourself with those who will make you grow and better." As a response to Mr. Greene's visit, RLOA student Karol Garcia states, "Friday I was given the best speech I've heard! It showed me that life has a purpose..to keep living and that I am a great person. I am the only one who can decide that....only I can decide that! Thanks Kyle for showing me all this. Kyle Greene, I admire you and I think you are an amazing person." Another student, Macy Keiffer states, "Kyle Greene has taught me that I am great and that my life has a purpose! Thanks Mr. Kyle!" When asked, "How are you able to build good relationships with students?" Mr. Greene says, "It's simple. I keep it real! I am a product of Jasper County and I made it; so can you!
